The terms on which we provide our brokerage services.
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern the brokerage services provided by Combined Business Services Ltd, trading as Combined Business Energy ("CBE", "we", "our", "us"). By requesting quotations, instructing us to act, or proceeding with an energy contract through us, you agree to these Terms.
CBE is an independent commercial energy broker. We obtain quotations and facilitate energy contracts through trusted procurement partners, broker platforms and UK energy suppliers. We are not the supplier of your gas or electricity.
By using our services you appoint CBE to act as your broker for obtaining quotations, negotiating where appropriate and facilitating business energy contracts on your behalf.
You confirm you are authorised to act for your business and authorise CBE to obtain quotations, discuss your account with suppliers and procurement partners, submit applications, manage the switching process and carry out activities reasonably required to provide our services.
You authorise CBE to obtain and share information reasonably required to provide our services, including contact details, business information, MPAN/MPRN numbers, consumption history, billing information and meter details with procurement partners, suppliers, network operators and industry data providers where necessary. Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
CBE works with third-party procurement partners and suppliers. Those organisations may contact you directly to verify information, complete applications, arrange contracts or provide ongoing account support. Their own terms, privacy notices and complaints procedures may also apply.
All quotations are subject to supplier approval and availability. Prices, terms and estimated savings are indicative until confirmed by the supplier and may be amended or withdrawn before a contract is completed.
You agree to provide accurate information, promptly notify us of any material changes, cooperate with reasonable requests and ensure you have authority to enter into any contract discussed or agreed.
CBE is generally remunerated by commission or other commercial arrangements with procurement partners and suppliers. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, our brokerage service is provided to you without a direct fee.
You agree not to deliberately bypass CBE by entering into a contract directly with a supplier or procurement partner introduced by us for the purpose of avoiding our commission or agreed remuneration. A deliberate attempt to avoid our remuneration may constitute a Customer Breach.
Where a Customer Breach causes CBE to lose agreed commission or incur reasonable costs, we reserve the right to recover those losses or a reasonable administration fee where legally permissible.
We are committed to delivering a high standard of service. Our Complaints Charter is available on our website. Where a complaint relates to a supplier or procurement partner we will work with them to help resolve the matter where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to this, CBE shall not be liable for supplier decisions, withdrawal of quotations, interruption of supply, loss of profit, loss of anticipated savings or indirect or consequential loss.
Both parties will keep confidential information obtained during our relationship confidential except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to provide the services.
Either party may terminate the brokerage relationship by giving written notice. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that have already arisen.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement relating to our brokerage services unless otherwise agreed in writing. If any provision is unenforceable the remaining provisions shall continue in force. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
By requesting quotations, instructing Combined Business Energy to act on your behalf, signing an agreement, or proceeding with an energy contract introduced by us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
